Speech-Language Pathologist/Orthophoniste
Mireille Marchand, M.H.Sc., SLP(C), Reg. CASLPO
Mireille is a Speech-Language Pathologist registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), as well as a member with clinical certification of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC). Mireille completed her Master of Health Sciences in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa in 2015. She is fully bilingual and is happy to offer services in French and/or English.
Mireille has gained experience working with preschool and school-aged children in clinic and community settings, including public schools, daycares, and teletherapy. She also enjoys working with adults who experience communication difficulties post-stroke.
Mireille has advanced training in early communication development, speech sound disorders, stuttering, autism, and social communication skills. Some of her certifications include Motor Speech 201 Training through the Speech & Stuttering Institute (SSI), Reference & Regulate, Picture Exchange Communication System® (PECS), the Lidcombe Program for Early Intervention of Stuttering©, as well as the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk®, Target Word®, and More Than Words® programs.
In her spare time, Mireille loves hiking, kayaking, playing board games, and listening to a variety of podcasts.
Mireille is the owner of Believe Grow Thrive Speech & Language Services and is excited to partner with Bright Spot Therapy Services Ltd. to provide services in Kapuskasing and surrounding areas.
