Before becoming a speech-language pathologist, there was nothing I wanted to do more in my life! Seriously... becoming an SLP was my birthday candle wish, my wishbone wish, and my 11:11 wish e-v-e-r-y-time! Now that I am a speech-language pathologist I still consider being an SLP a dream come true. So, of course, when May comes around each year I am thrilled by the opportunity to share more about speech and hearing with you!
This May is extra special because it marks 1 year in our office AND it is the month I leave my day job to run Bright Spot full-time.
Here is what Bright Spot is doing to celebrate May Month:
1. We will be posting true/false or multiple choice questions on our facebook page to build awareness about topics related to speech and hearing. Every day that you participate in the trivia you will be added to the May Month draw. **To be eligible you must also "like" our facebook page
2. A children's colouring contest is happening all month (deadline is June 1, 2019). It is hosted by Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Canada. You can find the pictures to colour here
3. A May Month celebration will be happening at our office on May 24, 2019 from 5-7pm. We will have cupcakes, refreshments, and fun kids activities taking place and would love for our clients, families, and friends to drop by to say "hi." Our new summer student, Kelsey, will be at the event to meet you. We will be having our May Month draw at 6:45pm and will live stream the draw on facebook.
